The top six companies excelling in
the Sustainability Report category were honored at the 17th Listed
Companies Voting Awards (VLCA) held on November 16, 2024.
Overview of This Year’s Sustainability Reports
This year’s reports showcased significant progress in both quantity and quality. In addition to the sustained performance of familiar names, many newcomers were praised for their well-structured reports despite it being their first attempt.
The number of companies producing standalone sustainability reports hit a record high, increasing from 21 to 33, continuing the upward trend in recent years. This year marked the highest number of standalone sustainability reports and the largest pool of reports advancing to the final round in 12 years.
Among these, 10 reports (nearly 30%) were from financial services companies, including 6 from banks, 2 from insurance firms, and 2 from financial and securities firms.

The panel highlighted innovations and positive features of the winning reports, notably the improved adoption and expansion of international standards and sustainability strategies.

In 2023, Vinamilk achieved major milestones in environmental impact reduction, including its commitment to Net Zero by 2050. As the first Vietnamese dairy company to join the Global Net Zero Initiative, Vinamilk launched the “Vinamilk Pathways to Dairy Net Zero 2050” program. Goals include a 15% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2027 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
