Century Synthetic Corporation has been granted OEKO-TEX100 certificate 

On August 28^th, 2017, Century Synthetic Corporation (Symbol: STK) has been granted by HOHENSTEIN Textile Testing Institute GmbH & Co. KG (German) OEKO-TEX100 certificate for 2 types of its products, namely DTY and FDY. The testing results showed that STK’s products meet the human-ecological requirements of the Standard 100 by OEKO –TEX. About The Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX: The Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX is an independent testing and certification system for textile product that is developed by the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile Ecology (Oeko-Tex) at their headquarter in Zurich (Switzerland). This is the set of standards applied for testing and certification that textile product with this label do not use or remain below the set limit value for certain harmful substances (for instance: formaldehyde, heavy metal, pesticides, chlorinated phenol and phthalates). Since 1992, The Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX has became a global symbol of safety for garment, including textile products and accessories. Harmful substances within the context of this standard refer to substances which may be presented in textile products and accessories and exceed the maximum amount, or which evolve during normal use and exceed the maximum amount and may have some kind of effect on people during normal  and prescribed use and may be injurious to human health according to current scientific knowledge. The products with the label OEKO-TEX 100 are proven to remain below the set limit values for certain harmful substances. The scope and testing requirements of harmful substances in the Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX depend on textile product’s intended use. The more intensive skin contact of the product, the  stricter the human ecological requirements. Accordingly, the four product classes are specified as follows:

1. Products for babies and children up to the age of 36 months
2. Products with direct contact to skin
3. Products without or very little contact to skin
4. Decoration Material (for decoration purpose)

STK products are categorized as Product class I -“Products for babies and children”. With the recently granted OEKO-TEX100 Certificate, STK products not only meet the requirements for children products (under Appendix 4), but also fulfill requirements of Appendix XVII of REACH (issued by European Chemicals Agency) as well as American requirements regarding to the lead content in children products. Therefore, STK products completely satisfy the strict requirements and high standards on product safety of sport-wear and large fashion brand companies in the world.
